Msi z97 gaming 7 content
I like the look of the msi z97 gaming 7 better the red is more suttle and i also like that the msi gaming 7 has 4 more usb 3.o ports. Other than that, it's all about price and looks. So, when it comes down to picking a motherboard, make sure it has XFIRE/SLI support or none (depending on which you want), and make sure it has the number of USB/Sata ports that you need. So the difference between a Gaming 7 and Hero isn't all that much - they look different, the gaming 7 has more USB 3.0 ports, the Gaming 7 uses a Qualcom NIC while the Maximus uses an Intel NIC, and.the Asus board has it's "Supreme Audio" while MSI has their version of it. This can allow faster data rates over USB, such as when transferring files to an external hard drive.

The difference between the cheapest SLI supported board (Gigabyte Z97x SLI) and something like an Asus Z97 Rampage (one of the highest end boards) is the I/O and layout of the board. Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows you to easily transfer data between different devices, such as smartphones, tablets and computers. So the only real difference between the two is the number of USB ports and the NICs (and the difference between either board and something like a Gigabyte Z97x SLI is also negligible). If you're spending this much on a board then I'm sure you'll have a GPU in which case onboard video is meaningless as well. More than likely you won't use anything other than the two PCIE 3.0 x16 slots. PCIE-wise, you will NEVER use three PCIE x1 anyway. "faster" memory doesn't improve gaming performance whatsoever, and anything over 1600mhz is overclocked ram, and often causes cpu overclock instability - and as such you'll often run ram at 1600mhz regardless of what it's rated to run at. With that said, unless you have money to blow I would suggest a cheaper board and just pocketing the excess money (or putting it to better use). Some people swear by Intel while others swear by Qualcomm. Qualcomm NICs come down to personal preference. is there any real difference between the qualcomm killer e2205 vs the intel 1218-v?Intel vs. Besides the higher memory standard and pci express x1 and 2 hdmi and 1 display port and 4 extra usb 3.0 the only down side i see is the one extra onboard usb 2.0.
